    iPS cell-derived human cartilage progenitor cells

    From fiscal year 2022 to 2023, I will be leading a research team under the theme of “Developing a method for regenerating articular cartilage using progenitor cells derived from iPS cells.”

    As a preliminary step towards delivering our research outcomes to patients, we will perform crucial quality and safety assessments on the human cartilage progenitor cells derived from iPS cells, which have been developed with the support of many.

Our laboratory is currently seeking graduate students for both master’s and doctoral programs. We offer comprehensive guidance to enhance each individual’s research skills, encompassing knowledge, technical abilities, ethics, and practical expertise. We particularly support the dissemination of each individual’s research outcomes through patent filings, conference presentations, and journal publications. We also provide part-time employment opportunities within the lab at an hourly rate of approximately 1,300 yen. For those considering doctoral studies, we offer financial assistance, including positions through the Emergent Research Support Program and aid in applying for the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship to further your scholarly contributions in conferences and publications.
